The BRAVE Leader —
brought in-house,
or in an open cohort.
A structured six-month programme for senior leaders approaching or recently arrived at executive level. Built around the BRAVE Model™. Delivered into your organisation, or as a private cross-sector cohort. Application only. Maximum six participants per cohort.
The same programme.
Two very different contexts.
Whether your organisation wants to run this for a leadership team, or you want to join a curated cross-sector cohort as an individual, the programme is the same. What changes is who is in the room with you.
In-House Delivery
Deployed into your organisation. David McQueen designs and delivers the programme for your specific leadership team — your context, your decisions, your culture. Preceded by diagnostic data that shapes every session. You do not get a generic programme. You get the one your organisation actually needs.
Open Cohort
A closed cross-sector cohort of six leaders, drawn from different organisations and sectors. The peer dynamic is the mechanism — people who do not compete with each other speak more honestly. Typically funded personally or by the individual's organisation. Application and selection by David McQueen.
BRAVE Workshops, brought to your organisation.
Facilitated by David McQueen. Deployed into your leadership teams, boards, and exec cohorts. Every programme is preceded by BRAVE Index diagnostic data — your results inform the content. You do not get a generic programme. You get the one your organisation actually needs.

01
Diagnostic gateway
The programme begins with a BRAVE Index assessment for every participant. The results map where the team is under-equipped — and which modules to weight most heavily. No two in-house programmes run the same way.
-
02
Six monthly sessions
Full-day in-person sessions at a venue of your choice — or your own offices. Each session covers one primary BRAVE module, with the prior month's challenges and real decisions brought into the room as working material.
-
03
Monthly virtual working sessions
Between each in-person session, the group meets virtually for 90 minutes. One member brings a live decision. The group works on it. David holds the frame. It keeps the thinking active between the full days.
-
04
Organisational continuity
Because all six participants are from the same organisation, the learning compounds at the system level — not just the individual. The shared language, shared frameworks, and shared reference points persist after the programme ends.
-
05
BRAVE Index — mid and end
A repeat diagnostic at month three and at programme close. Gives the organisation measurable evidence of where leadership capability has shifted. Board-reportable output available on request.
Six modules. Each one addresses
a specific leadership failure.
Each module addresses a specific, recurring failure point in senior leadership. Modules are deployed in sequence across the six months — with content weighted by your diagnostic results for in-house, and by cohort composition for the open programme.
The BRAVE Model™ — the operating
language of leadership under pressure.
BRAVE is not an acronym for five abstract qualities. It is the framework that runs through every module — five capacities that must be held simultaneously when certainty is unavailable. Not taught. Applied to your actual challenges throughout the six months.
Acting without guarantees — making decisions with available information rather than waiting for certainty that will not arrive.
Remaining present and functional under sustained pressure — distinguishing genuine crisis from the chronic stress of complex leadership.
Adapting as conditions change without destabilising the organisation or abandoning core commitments.
Holding long-term consequence — making decisions that protect the organisation's capacity across years, not just quarters.
Protecting dignity, agency, and system-wide impact when trade-offs arise — decisions that do not compromise the people they affect.
Six leaders.
Six months.
Different sectors.
The open cohort brings together six senior leaders from different organisations and sectors. The cross-sector dynamic is intentional — peers who do not compete with each other speak more honestly, challenge more usefully, and share what they would not share in an industry room.

Two intakes.
Six seats each.
BRAVE Leader runs on defined intakes — not rolling enrolment. The cohort starts together, works through the material together, and the structure is deliberate. It is what makes the peer dynamic worth having.

On application. Full programme access including all six modules, monthly sessions, entry and exit diagnostics, and the BRAVE framework applied throughout.
BRAVE Leader is not open enrolment. A brief exchange confirms fit — for you and for the cohort. The composition of the room matters as much as the content.
