Executive VIP Day

Storytelling for Business

A private intensive for CEOs, founders, and senior executives focused on the art and science of business storytelling — so narrative holds under scrutiny and meaning survives complexity.

Private • Senior-level • Up to four leaders • By enquiry

What this is

  • A contained decision-and-narrative environment built around your real scenarios
  • Story architecture that increases alignment, credibility, and action
  • Data storytelling that makes numbers intelligible without distortion
  • Delivery discipline that strengthens authority without performance
  • Not presentation training. Not slide design. Not generic “comms” coaching.

Leaders don’t lose rooms because they lack information. They lose them because meaning is unclear.

When storytelling becomes a leadership problem

In business, people rarely decide on data alone. They decide when meaning is clear. Storytelling is the discipline of making strategy legible, risk credible, and direction coherent — especially when scrutiny is high and certainty is unavailable.

This VIP day is for moments where narrative cannot be left to chance.

Common triggers

  • investment pitches, capital raises, investor updates
  • town halls, leadership alignment, organisational confidence
  • M&A evaluation, integration, exit preparation, shareholder narratives
  • culture change, restructuring, strategy shifts that require belief
  • customer value stories, commercial repositioning, pricing pressure

These moments are rarely loud, but they are always consequential.

Narrative failure modes

  • over-explaining instead of clarifying
  • data without meaning, meaning without evidence
  • strategic drift disguised as “updates”
  • misalignment at the top that quietly shapes execution
  • stories that land once and then decay

When narrative breaks, confidence leaks out of the system.

Common storytelling contexts

While the day is shaped around your agenda, most executive storytelling work falls into one of three contexts — each with distinct pressures, audiences, and failure modes.

Capital & scrutiny

When credibility is the asset.

Investor narratives, capital raises, board scrutiny, and high-stakes stakeholder conversations where the frame tightens.

  • building a clean strategic story with a credible risk posture
  • making uncertainty legible without over-promising
  • strengthening narrative integrity across decks, answers, and follow-up

Best for: pitches, board packs, investor updates, governance moments.

Change & culture

When behaviour must move.

Strategy shifts, restructuring, culture change, and transitions where confidence and coherence matter more than motivation.

  • creating a change story that holds under internal scrutiny
  • naming trade-offs and constraints without destabilising the system
  • building shared language leadership can repeat without decay

Best for: town halls, leadership offsites, transformation communication.

Commercial & data storytelling

When value must be understood.

Customer narratives, positioning, performance stories, and data storytelling that converts numbers into meaning without distortion.

  • crafting customer and product stories that clarify value
  • building a data story: signal, context, implication, decision
  • turning metrics into narrative that leaders can actually use

Best for: GTM narratives, customer stories, performance and KPI communication.

How the work functions

Story architecture, not performance.

This is a one-day executive intensive built around your real narratives and real rooms. We work on the underlying structures that make business stories durable — the meaning, the evidence, the trade-offs, and the language leaders must be able to repeat without drift.

  • why narrative moves decisions when data alone cannot
  • the executive story types leaders must command
  • data storytelling without distortion or theatre
  • crafting story spines that survive scrutiny
  • keeping stories alive across time, teams, and channels
  • delivery discipline: authority, pacing, framing, restraint
  • handling challenge and questions without collapsing the frame
  • aligning story to strategy, governance, and consequence

The output is not “a day you attended.” It is clearer narrative judgement and story structures you can use immediately.
